Wa All Stars defender Nicholas Mensah is relishing a tough season for his outfit after making history in last season’s Ghana Premier League.
The Upper West based side clinched their first major silverware in the 2015/2016 domestic top flight competition and will be Ghana sole representative at the CAF Champions League.
Mensah, who played a significant role in the club’s title winning triumph last season, says his side are really preparing for the big task ahead as combining both domestic and continental football is difficult.
“We are really preparing ourselves for the upcoming season because we really have a tough season ahead of us” he told FMIG in an exclusive interview.
“Playing in Africa and in the Ghana Premier League as well is really hard so we’re working hard towards it”
“We want to be in the best of shape before the season starts” he added.
All Stars are currently in Sudan to play a series of friendlies before flying to Dubai to continue their preparations ahead of the Ghana Premier League season.
